Matt and the herdsmen (M&TH) is a Texas country band from the Rio Grande valley (Edinburg, Tx). They have been together for the greater part of two years and have seen an immense growth within this last year. Since gathering four talented musicians, Matt Castillo (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Beto Cavazos (lead guitar/harmony vocals), Danny Salinas (bass guitar/harmony vocals), and Ruben Cantu (drums) it has driven them to become the “band to watch in the Texas music scene”.
M&TH has grabbed some attention from their latest album called small town stories and has been keeping busy by releasing two radio singles. With the help of Steen Promotions, the boys released "dance all night" as their first single. Since being released, the single has charted as high as 47 on the Texas Regional Radio Report (T3R) and 61 on the Texas Music Charts. M&TH followed up with their second single called "All Gone" which just broke the top 100 singles of 2015 and is staying strong with radio play across Texas, Oklahoma, Internet radio, and even Europe radio.
M&TH have traveled all over Texas to play shows in Alvin, Austin, Bay City, Corpus Christi, Houston, New Braunfels, San Antonio, San Marcos and South Padre Island. Promoters have seen their efforts and have booked them to open up for artist such as Toby Keith, Jack Ingram, Dustin Lynch, Easton Corbin, Kyle Park, Randy Rogers Band, Pat Green and recently William Clark Green.
